Josko Gvardiol has passed a fitness test to line up for Croatia against Morocco in the World Cup third-place playoff.

The centre-back, as well as Josip Juranovic and Marcelo Brozovic, were name-checked as fitness doubts by Zlatko Dalic at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

However, while the other two players drop out of the team, the RB Leizpig defender retains his place, now partnered by Josip Sutalo.

As well as Josip Stanisic earning a chance at right-back, Ivan Perisic drops back to feature on the left, allowing for Mislav Orsic to be introduced in the final third.

Lovro Majer and Marko Livaja have also been drafted into the Croatia XI for a match against opponents who had made three alterations.

Romain Saiss, Noussair Mazraoui and Azzedine Ounahi are all missing from the Morocco team which started the semi-final defeat to France.

In their place, Walid Regragui has opted for Yahia Attiyat Allah, Abdelhamid Sabiri and Bilal El Khannous, the 18-year-old being given his Atlas Lions debut.

Croatia: Livakovic; Stanisic, Gvardiol, Sutalo, Perisic; Kovacic, Modric, Majer; Kramaric, Livaja, Orsic

Morocco: Bounou; Hakimi, Dari, El Yamiq, Attiah-Allah; El Khannouss, Amrabat, Sabiri; Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal body check tags ::
