Dallas have earned a 2-0 win away at new team Orlando City in the MLS tonight.
The visitors had the first chance of the match after 12 minutes when Atiba Harris darted forward on the counter-attack, but he fired his shot over the bar from 18 yards.
Orlando struggled to create any chances of their own and they fell behind just before half time when Fabian Castillo was tripped in the box.
The referee awarded a penalty, and Mauro Diaz confidently stuck it into the back of the net.
Orlando thought they had equalised shortly after the break when Pedro Ribeiro found the back of the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
The hosts were punished shortly after when David Texeira calmly slotted the ball in from close range.
However, Dallas gifted Orlando a way back into the game when Dan Kennedy conceded a penalty, but Ribeiro's effort was saved.
Things got worse for Orlando in added time when Luke Boden was shown a red card for a second bookable offence.
