Derby County head coach Steve McClaren has admitted that his side will miss midfielder Omar Mascarell after he was sidelined by a foot injury.
Mascarell, who is on loan from Real Madrid, is expected to miss the rest of the season, and McClaren has acknowledged that the 22-year-old will be tough to replace in the heart of his midfield.
The 53-year-old told BBC Radio Derby: "He could be out until the end of the season. He has been fantastic and we will miss him.
"We have looked at combinations in midfield and what produces the best, and Omar has been in the middle three that has been one of the top trio.
"It's difficult to come in and impose yourself in another country but he has done it and grown in to our game. He has become more aggressive and more English-like."
The Rams currently sit in fifth place in the Championship table.
