Derby County boss Steve McClaren has revealed that he is looking to 'freshen things up' at the club in order to boost their promotion hopes next term.
The Rams narrowly missed out on a spot in the Championship playoffs on the last day of the season as they were beaten 3-0 by Reading.
McClaren has now suggested that he wants to make big changes to his squad this summer to make them better equipped for promotion.
"It's about refreshing things now in order to move forwards," he told the club's official website. "From the time we came in until this point we kind of ran with things.
"We tried to put our stamp on what we are doing with the team without changing a lot to be honest. In the time we have been here we believe that we have created a culture and a positive environment, but now I think it is time to put a bit more of our stamp on things."
McClaren has repeatedly been linked with taking over at Newcastle United, but the former England manager has insisted that he is happy at Derby.
