Derby County have secured Ryan Shotton's services on a permanent basis after agreeing a deal with Stoke City.
The 26-year-old has quickly become a key player in Derby's promotion push since moving to the club on loan in the summer, and Steve McClaren was quick to reveal his delight after the defender signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.
"We're pleased to welcome Ryan Shotton to the club on a permanent basis," McClaren told Derby's official website.
"He has shown in his brief time with us that he is an important member of the squad, contributing with good performances and showing his versatility."
Shotton has scored twice in 14 appearances for Derby this season.
