England captain Steven Gerrard has expressed his belief that his side can cause Uruguay "big problems" if they play like they did against Italy.
The Three Lions fell to a 2-1 defeat to the Azzurri in their World Cup opener, but produced a good attacking display as Raheem Sterling impressed playing behind Daniel Sturridge.
Meanwhile, Uruguay struggled with the pace of Arsenal forward Joel Campbell as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat against Costa Rica in their first game of the tournament.
"I was shocked by the result. I expected Uruguay to beat Costa Rica," Gerrard told Sky Sports News.
"They have really good firepower up front but we saw on Saturday that they are certainly beatable. They concede goals and if we attack like we did against Italy we will cause Uruguay big, big problems."
England face Uruguay in Sao Paulo on Thursday.
