Two goals in the final 20 minutes have seen Fiorentina beat Bologna 2-0 to extend their winning run to three games in Serie A.
The hosts had the better of the first half but could not convert their dominance into meaningful chances as they were restricted to long-range strikes from Matias Vecino and Gonzalo Rodriguez in the early stages.
The Viola missed a good opportunity to break the deadlock shortly after the break when Ante Rebic could not direct his header from Jakub Blaszczykowski's cross on target as they continued to look the more likely.
Blaszczykowski was the man to eventually find the opening goal 18 minutes from time when the on-loan Borussia Dortmund wideman swept home Vecino's cross from close range to hand his side the lead.
Vecino should have doubled the lead shortly afterwards but the hosts did put the game to bed with eight minutes remaining when Nikola Kalinic buried Marcos Alonso's cross as Fiorentina won for a third match in a row without conceding to move into second in the table.
