Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini has signed a new contract with the Serie A club until 2017.
The 57-year-old guided the team to a sixth-place finish in the table last season.
Gasperini, whose new contract has the option of a further 12 months, returned to Genoa for a second spell in 2013 having previously managed the side between 2006 and 2010.
"I'm delighted," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It's destiny that Genoa is in my life. The intention is to build a competitive team for the new season and to reach our goals. It would be nice to start next season with the same enthusiasm as we finished this one."
Genoa recently appealed against a decision to stop them from playing in next season's Europa League after failing to gain a UEFA licence.
