Udinese were denied a second successive victory in Serie A as Genoa came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Friuli this afternoon.
Diego Perotti was the first to threaten for the visitors with a powerful attempt from range that was held by Orestis Karnezis.
They came close again when Serge Gakpe arrived at the front post to meet a corner, but his header was tipped over by the keeper.
Despite Genoa's dominance in the first half, it was Udinese who made the breakthrough two minutes after the break as Antonio Di Natale latched onto Felipe's header across goal to tap in at the back post.
The visitors began to push men forward in search of an equaliser and Blerim Dzemaili crashed an effort over the bar from the edge of the box.
Genoa were then given the chance to level the scores after Danilo brought down Gakpe inside the box and gave away a penalty.
Perotti was tasked with converting the spot kick, and he made no mistake with a low finish past the stranded Karnezis as the match finished all square.
