Jake Livermore has been named among the Hull City starting XI for his side's League Cup third round clash against Swansea City at the KC Stadium.
The 25-year-old, who has had personal issues over the last few months, is deemed "mentally fit to return" by manager Steve Bruce.
Livermore is one of nine changes for the Tigers, with Alex Bruce and Andy Robertson the only ones to retain their places from Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Queens Park Rangers.
Meanwhile the Swans have gone one better and made 10 changes, Gylfi Sigurdsson the only survivor from his side's goalless draw against Everton at the weekend.
