Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that his side "absolutely did not deserve to lose" their Serie A match against Sassuolo this afternoon.
The Nerazzurri recorded a 7-0 win when the two sides met earlier this season, but they were beaten 3-1 today in a game that saw both teams finish with 10 men.
"The team came out well, had two early chances and then conceded at the first Sassuolo opportunity," Mancini told Sky Sport Italia. "I think we make mistakes in some situations, but in the first 20 minutes we played the way we needed to.
"Things are going wrong at the moment, but this is the right concept of football. Of course we cannot allow opponents so much space to prepare and line up their shots. Unfortunately in Italy the only thing anyone cares about is the result, so we hope that can improve soon.
"Clearly there is some psychological fragility, as at the slightest difficulty they see everything negative. However, we absolutely did not deserve to lose this game or against Torino."
Inter have now gone their last three games in the league without a win.
