Chris Sutton has emerged as the favourite to take over at Inverness Caledonian Thistle following Terry Butcher's departure to Hibernian.
The former Blackburn Rovers and Celtic striker was interviewed for the post back in 2009 before Butcher was installed as boss at the club.
However, the 40-year-old has now been named as the leading candidate to take charge of Inverness by a number of bookmakers.
Sutton's only previous experience in management was a 12-month spell at Lincoln City four years ago.
Former Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels and Spaniard Antonio Tapia are also said to be among the contenders for the vacancy.
