Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has bemoaned his side's misfortune in the 1-0 opening-day defeat at home to Udinese, insisting that they did everything right apart from failing to find the net.
Cyril Thereau's late strike shocked the home crowd and consigned Juve to their first home defeat in the opening game of a Serie A season for 87 years.
Bonucci insists that the performance was there for Massimiliano Allegri's team, but admitted that they need to take their chances in front of goal if they are to get results.
"A goal was all we were missing," he said on the club's official Twitter account.
"We created chances, put the ball in the box and ran our socks off for the entire game. It is never nice to lose, especially in that manner.
"We had chances to score but we were not clinical enough in front of goal."
Next up for the Italian champions is a trip to face Roma, who finished in second place 17 points adrift of Allegri's side last season.
