A goal from Miroslav Klose has given Lazio a 1-0 half-time lead in their Serie A clash against Chievo this afternoon.
Antonio Candreva came close to giving the hosts the lead in the third minute when he fired a low free kick narrowly wide of the post.
Candreva was involved in all of his side's best moves and he soon fired another strike wide, before forcing Albano Bizzarri to beat away an effort from inside the box.
As the game edged past the half-hour mark, Candreva was denied again as his close-range attempt was turned behind by Bizzarri.
The keeper was then left stranded as Diego Novaretti fired a powerful strike towards the top corner that ended up heading inches over the bar.
On the stroke of half time, Lazio finally made their dominance count as Klose raced down the left before cutting inside and clipping an effort over Bizzarri and into the far corner.
