Rodolph Austin's third-minute penalty has given Leeds United a 1-0 half-time lead against Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.
Sam Byram rounded Andy Lonergan before being brought down but the goalkeeper escaped a booking for the incident. However, Austin made no mistake from 12 yards to give the visitors an early advantage.
Bolton almost found a route back into the game when Matt Mills headed over the bar from a corner before Byram's shot was well blocked by Dorian Dervite.
Liam Feeney was next to try his luck when he pounced on a loose ball before firing a 25-yard effort just wide of the Leeds goal.
Neil Lennon's side almost restored parity shortly after the half-hour mark when Mills's flick-on was met by Liam Trotter, but Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri denied the home side.
