Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has praised Ross McCormack after the striker netted the winning goal in his side's 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town.
The Whites boss described the forward as a "quality player" and expressed his desire to keep him at Elland Road amid speculation over his future.
"Ross is a quality player who scored a quality goal," PA quotes him as saying.
"I don't know how many bids we have had - I leave that to the owners and the player's agent. But I want him to stay and Ross wants to stay.
"I think selling him to another Championship club sends out the wrong message."
David McGoldrick fired Ipswich in front in the first half, but Leeds levelled through Luke Varney before McCormack bagged his second-half winner.
