Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's Championship clash between out-of-form duo Leeds and Blackpool at Elland Road.

Two of the Championship's out-of-form sides will go head to head on Saturday as Leeds United host Blackpool at Elland Road.

The home side have not won any of their last eight matches since Neil Redfearn's successful stint as caretaker boss came to an end in September.

Darko Milanic has been and gone since then, but even Redfearn's appointment as permanent manager has failed to stop the rot so far.

A 3-1 defeat to Cardiff City in his first game at the helm was followed by a 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, a result that left the club just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Their form at home has been comparatively steady, with just two defeats at Elland Road all season. However, they are without a win in front of their own fans since Redfearn's last game in caretaker charge - the 3-0 derby success over Huddersfield Town.

Leeds have no new injury concerns ahead of the weekend, however, and will fancy their chances of ending their winless streak against a Blackpool side rooted to the bottom of the table.

The Tangerines look destined for League One already, despite ending a four-match losing streak to draw 2-2 with Fulham on Wednesday.

However, even that result brought with it more disappointment as they blew a two-goal lead and saw Tony McMahon sent off in the first half.

Like Leeds, Blackpool are looking to adapt to life under a new manager as Lee Clark continues his mammoth task of turning the club's fortunes around, but already they sit nine points adrift of safety and seven away from 23rd-placed Bolton Wanderers.

They have won just one of their 17 outings in all competitions this season, and only two of their last 26 games stretching back to the previous campaign.

They also have the worst goal difference in the league, due largely to their measly tally of just 10 goals scored so far this season, and the joint-worst away record in the division.

Things certainly don't look good for Clark, then, but he has brought in Jamie O'Hara this week, and the midfielder could feature at some point on Saturday. McMahon is suspended for the visitors, but they have no new injury concerns.
