Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool reunite with former midfield maestro Xabi Alonso on Tuesday night, when the Spaniard's Bayer Leverkusen side travel to Anfield for a Champions League blockbuster.

The Reds boast a perfect record of nine points from their opening three matches in the 2024-25 tournament and sit pretty in second place in the 36-team table, only adrift of Aston Villa.

Arne Slot's side also lead the way in the Premier League again, capitalising on Arsenal and Manchester City's slip-ups on Saturday with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Leverkusen, who have seven points from their opening three European contests in 2024-25.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Arm
Possible return date: November 5 (vs. Bayer Leverkusen)

Ibrahima Konate was in serious distress when he was taken off with an arm injury at half time against Brighton, but the Frenchman has made a rapid recovery and is expected to be available on Tuesday.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Diogo Jota was a victim of October's home win over Chelsea, coming off early with an apparent abdominal injury, and Slot has conceded that he will not be back before the international break.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Likewise, Alisson Becker is also a few weeks away from returning from the the hamstring concern he suffered against Crystal Palace at the start of October, but Caoimhin Kelleher is deputising admirably in between the posts.

Federico Chiesa

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Summer signing Federico Chiesa has seen his injury problems rear their ugly heads once more, and the Italian will also not play again this side of the international break due to repeated niggles and setbacks.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Liverpool's longest absentee, Harvey Elliott should soon be in the final stages of his recovery from a foot fracture, but a return this side of the international break is not thought to be on the cards.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, but Konate and Alexis Mac Allister are both one yellow card away from a Champions League ban.
