An early preview of the EFL Cup final headlines gameweek 22 of the Premier League season as Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield on Wednesday night.

The match will be Liverpool's first in the Premier League since Jurgen Klopp announced his decision to step down at the end of the season, and they will hope to further underline their title credentials as the top flight returns following another FA Cup weekend.

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also among those in action on Wednesday, while Arsenal get the gameweek underway at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

The midweek action then concludes on Thursday, with West Ham United hosting Bournemouth and Manchester United travelling to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of solo artist and bass player for Reverend and the Makers, Ed Cosens.

Ed Cosens Q&A

How did you come to support Sheffield Wednesday and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

My next door neighbour and his dad when I was a kid were season ticket holders at Sheffield Wednesday and used to take me along to matches, strangely the side of town I lived was traditionally more Sheff United supporters but for some reason my particular school year had a lot of Wednesday fans.

My favourite memories are winning the Rumbelows Cup in 1991, the first success I can remember, sadly, the last silverware we won but there's always hope. Beating United at Wembley in '93 was huge and you can't look past the miracles at the end of last season to get promoted back to the Championship, you just couldn't have written it. Magic.

Who have been your favourite five players for your club? (Historically or currently)

For favourite players you have to look back to the amazing team we had in the early '90s, Chris Waddle being number one. Simply one of the best English players we've ever seen, and to be able to watch him at Wednesday was just magical.

Others in that team, John Sheridan, David Hirst, foot like a traction engine, and Roland Nilsson were all special. In recent times though you have to go for the wee Scotsman with a left foot made of gold, Barry Bannan. We're lucky to have him at the club and every week he bleeds blue and white. Total legend.

What's going on for you as an artist at the moment?

I've just released a new single "Doghouse" taken from my new album which is going to be out in the Spring, available to stream and download now. I'm gearing up for the album release, more singles to come soon and then touring and festivals! A busy year, keep an eye on my socials for more announcements!

Check out 'Doghouse', the latest release from Ed Cosens, available on all digital streaming platforms now.
