Napoli have secured top spot in their Europa League group by claiming a 3-0 win over Slovan Bratislava this evening.
Dries Mertens gave Napoli the lead in the sixth minute when he curled an effort from outside the box into bottom corner past Dusan Pernis.
Duvan Zapata went close moments later, but after being picked out by Jose Callejon he could not keep his strike under the bar.
Napoli continued to dominate and Christian Maggio connected with a corner at the back post, before directing his volley straight into the gloves of the keeper.
The hosts soon doubled their lead in the 16th minute when Marek Hamsik guided Mertens's low free kick into the far corner.
Callejon should have added a third midway through the half, but after being slipped into the box by Hamsik, he fired wide of the target.
Rafael Benitez's side were in complete control and Gokhan Inler was inches away from finding the net before the break, with a powerful effort from range that sailed narrowly wide.
Mertens chipped an effort onto the roof of the net at the start of the second half as Napoli looked to pick up where they left off.
In the 75th minute the home side scored a third when Zapata nodded in Faouzi Ghoulam's cross at the back post to secure the points.
