Nottingham Forest moved a point clear at the top following a 1-1 draw with rivals Derby County in Sunday's East Midlands Derby.
Charlton Athletic are the only other unbeaten side in the division and they picked up three points against Watford at The Valley on Saturday.
At the bottom of the table, Blackpool earned their first point of the season as they held high-flying Wolverhampton Wanderers to a goalless draw at Bloomfield Road.
Fulham, who are still without a win, prop up the table following their 3-0 defeat at Reading, while Bolton Wanderers remain winless after a goalless draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Stephen Henderson (Charlton Athletic)
Charlton ensured that it was an unhappy first game in charge for new Watford head coach Oscar Garcia, and Henderson played his part. The keeper pulled off a string of saves to keep the visitors at bay, including late stops from Daniel Tozser and Lloyd Dyer.
Jake Bidwell (Brentford)
The Bees moved up to sixth in the table with a 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion and Bidwell played a key role, setting up goals for Andre Gray and Jonathan Douglas.
Michael Turner (Norwich City)
Norwich sit second in the standings after coming from two goals down to win 4-2 at Cardiff City, with Turner slamming home the third after being set up by Alexander Tettey.
Matt Mills (Bolton Wanderers)
Bolton were grateful to Mills for the point in their goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday, after the centre-back produced an excellent goal-line clearance to deny Chris Maguire.
James Perch (Wigan Athletic)
Wigan fell to a 3-1 defeat to Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, but James Perch did give the away fans something to shout about with a 25-yard volley.
Wes Hoolahan (Norwich City)
Hoolahan was a driving force in midfield as Norwich put four past Cardiff. The Republic of Ireland international scored one and assisted another on a productive afternoon at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Michail Antonio (Nottingham Forest)
Antonio has been impressive since moving to Forest from Sheffield Wednesday this summer and his good form continued against Derby County at the City Ground, where he got the better of visiting full-back Ryan Shotton on several occasions. He also played in Britt Assombalonga for the opening goal of the game.
Grant Leadbitter (Middlesbrough)
Boro skipper Leadbitter scored both goals as his side secured a 2-1 victory at Huddersfield Town. He opened the scoring with an unstoppable 30-yard free kick, before converting a late penalty to snatch all three points.
Ben Marshall (Blackburn Rovers)
Marshall found the net twice as Rovers saw off Wigan 3-1 at Ewood Park. Both goals were measured strikes from distance.
Glenn Murray (Reading)
Murray enjoyed a dream debut following his loan switch from Crystal Palace, scoring twice as the Royals cruised past struggling Fulham at the Madejski Stadium.
Britt Assombalonga (Nottingham Forest)
Assombalonga scored his fifth goal in six Championship outings to give Forest the lead against Derby. The striker turned his marker before firing an instinctive low shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Numpty of the Week
Matt Smith: The Fulham striker had an afternoon to forget against Reading. The former Leeds United man was sent off in the 26th minute for a reckless challenge on Hope Akpan.
Goal of the Week
Grant Leadbitter (Middlesbrough) vs. Huddersfield Town Leadbitter's first goal at the John Smith's Stadium was one to remember. The midfielder opened the scoring with a powerful free kick from 30 yards that flew past Town goalkeeper Alex Smithies.
