Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia has admitted that it is important for the club to remain in the Premier League.
The Hoops are currently seven points away from safety with eight matches remaining, and Mbia has insisted that they will only reach their potential if they avoid relegation to the Championship.
The 26-year-old told the London Evening Standard: "We need to stay in the Premier League because we have very good players, a great manager and the club have unbelievable fans.
"If we stay up, I can see the potential of this club to go far. But it's important we do the first job of staying in the Premier League."
The Cameroon international signed for Queens Park Rangers from Marseille last summer.
