Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino confirms that Kylian Mbappe is "fine" to face Real Madrid after an injury scare.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has affirmed that Kylian Mbappe is "fine" to face Real Madrid in Wednesday's Champions League last-16 second leg.

The 23-year-old - who scored the winner in the first leg at the Parc des Princes - emerged as a doubt for the contest after taking a stamp to the foot from Idrissa Gueye in a training session.

However, scans on Mbappe's injury were reassuring, and Pochettino has eased fears over the attacker's availability before another meeting with his admirers.

Speaking to reporters at his pre-game press conference, Pochettino said: "We talked, he's fine. At the time, he was crying out and he was in pain. But he could walk easily two hours later. I hope he can train well after the press conference.

"He is mature even if he is young. I don't doubt Kylian. He won't change his way of playing because of what's happening on the outside."

Mbappe's winner in the first leg is one of 24 goals the France international has struck in all competitions this season, but he is still expected to complete a free transfer to Real in the summer. body check tags ::
