Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is confident that he will be fit for the Champions League final.
The France international picked up a foot injury during his side's 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg of their European Cup semi-final last week.
Tchouameni missed out against Granada on Saturday and will also be absent for the team's final three La Liga matches of the season against Alaves, Villarreal and Real Betis.
It has been reported that the midfielder only has 'a 20% chance' of being fit to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1.
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti also admitted last week that the 24-year-old was a major doubt for the clash with the Bundesliga outfit.
Tchouameni confident of making Champions League final
However, Tchouameni is confident that he will be able to feature in the showpiece event.
"I think I'll make it to the final," he told Marca during Real Madrid's La Liga title celebrations on Sunday morning.
David Alaba is a long-term absentee due to the ACL injury that he suffered last August, so Tchouameni is currently the only question mark for Real Madrid when it comes to the Champions League final.
Ancelotti will be rotating his squad in the final stages of the La Liga season, as Los Blancos secured the championship at the start of this month.
Tchouameni has been a vital player for Los Blancos during the 2023-24 campaign, making 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and registering one assist in the process.
Who are the options to replace Tchouameni for the UCL final?
Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde are certain starters in the Real Madrid midfield for the Champions League final, while Jude Bellingham will play behind Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, providing that Los Blancos do not suffer any fresh fitness issues over the next three weeks.
Ancelotti has a big decision to make at the back, with Eder Militao potentially being considered if he builds his fitness in the coming league matches, but it would not be a surprise to see Nacho given the nod alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Tchouameni has played as a centre-back this season, but if the Frenchman is fit, he will feature alongside Kroos and Valverde in midfield.
In the event that the ex-Monaco midfielder misses out, Eduardo Camavinga would likely be given the nod, but a start for Luka Modric also cannot be ruled out.
Ancelotti also has a big call to make between the sticks, as number one goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is now back to fitness and is again set to start against Alaves in the league on Tuesday night.
