Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Sergio Ramos is suffering with "a minor back problem".
The Spanish centre-back picked up the injury before Saturday's 2-2 draw with Osasuna – a match that saw the defender dismissed for two bookable offences in the first period.
Madrid have appealed against the decision, while Ancelotti has confirmed that the 27-year-old will be fit to play against Valencia at the weekend.
"He has a minor back problem and had that problem in the warm-up before Osasuna. He demonstrated his sacrifice by playing," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I'm confident he'll be available for Sunday and if he doesn't play, it's not because of a physical problem."
Ramos has collected 18 red cards and 127 yellows during his eight-year Bernabeu career.
