Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been ruled out of action for "around four weeks" with a calf problem.
The Italian international has missed Roma's last two Serie A matches, but did appear as a late substitute in his team's 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Roma have revealed that the 32-year-old has suffered another setback, however, which will see him miss the next month of the campaign.
"Daniele De Rossi underwent tests that showed the presence of a lesion in the soleus of his left leg," read a statement on the club's official website. "For the Giallorossi midfielder, who has played 25 games and scored three goals, the prognosis is that he will miss around four weeks."
Roma will attempt to make it five straight wins in Serie A when they host Palermo on Sunday evening.
