Championship team Sheffield Wednesday have smashed St Mirren 5-0 in their final warm-up game before the new season starts.
The two teams started weakly with both sets of players happy to sit behind the ball and out-pass the opposition, before Vincent Sasso got Wednesday in front, poking the ball in after a goalmouth scramble.
Sheffield then enjoyed the lion's share of possession and were rewarded when Austrian striker Atdhe Nuhiu headed in from close range, before Lewis McGugan fired a 30-yard unstoppable free kick past Mirren's Mark Ridgers to increase his side's lead to three.
The second half started the same way as the first. Sasso got his second goal of the day after smashing the ball in from just yards out before the game slowed down with both sides making a number of substitutions.
Marnick Vermijl then added Wednesday's fifth of the afternoon, lashing a shot into the top corner of the net.
Sheffield Wednesday kick off their new campaign at home to Bristol City on August 8.
