Spain head coach Vicente del Bosque has claimed that poor finishing was key in his side's loss to the Netherlands on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Stefan de Vrij and Davey Klaassen secured the victory for the hosts in Amsterdam, and Del Bosque was unable to hide his disappointment with a lack of clinical edge to his team's play.
"The first 20 minutes have burdened us," the Spain boss told reporters. "It seems impossible we wouldn't score.
"We have taken command of the game, we've been all over them and have reached the penalty area, but we lacked a goal."
Despite impressing in Euro 2016 qualifying recently, Spain have not won an international friendly since June.
