Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane has an outside chance of being ready for this weekend's clash with Manchester City, according to a report.
Pep Guardiola's side are known to be interested in the England skipper and are supposedly 'convinced' that they can get a £150m deal over the line this month.
In the meantime, Kane has returned to Tottenham's accommodation base to undergo a five-day quarantine following his holiday, and he was forced to deny reports claiming that he refused to turn up for pre-season training.
According to The Athletic, Kane is due to return to team training on Thursday after completing his self-isolation period, meaning that there is a small possibility he could line up against the Premier League champions.
However, the report adds that 'time is running out' for Kane to prove his fitness in time, and a spot on the bench is the most likely option if he is deemed ready for some minutes.
Kane took a holiday to the Bahamas after scoring four goals for England at Euro 2020, while he registered 37 goal contributions from 35 Premier League games last term. body check tags ::
