Stoke City boss Paul Lambert has reportedly informed Dutch midfielder Ibrahim Afellay that he is no longer welcome at the club's training ground for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.
Afellay has not represented Stoke in the Premier League since the end of December, and has not been involved in any matchday squad since Lambert replaced Mark Hughes as head coach.
According to The Telegraph, Lambert feels that the former Barcelona midfielder is a bad influence on the rest of the squad, with his attitude deemed 'poor and disruptive'.
The report claims that the 31-year-old has been banished from the club's Clayton Woods complex, which suggests that his career with the Premier League outfit has finished.
The player joined Stoke from Barcelona in 2015, and has made over 50 appearances for the Potters in all competitions.
Afellay contract at the bet365 Stadium will run until the end of next season.
