Erik Pieters has warned his Stoke City teammates to expect a tough match when they host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday.
The Magpies travel to the Britannia Stadium at the bottom of the table and without a win this season, while Stoke have five points from their opening five games.
Despite Newcastle's current struggles, Pieters believes that Alan Pardew's side will provide difficult opposition tomorrow night as the Potters look to turn their home form around.
"I think it will be a tough game. They are yet to win so they will want to put that right, but we need to start getting points from our home games," he told the club's official website.
"It's important we now that we start to get points at home and give something back to our supporters. We need to do it for our supporters, play well for them, get three points and turn things around at the Britannia Stadium."
Pieters has featured in all five of Stoke's Premier League matches so far this season.
