Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has admitted that the Premier League outfit have kept track of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis for a "long time".
The 26-year-old, who was demoted to the Championship with Wolves last season, has been at the centre of transfer speculation involving Fulham and West Ham United, who are thought to have had a third bid rejected by Molineux.
"I like Jarvis," said Pulis. "There are a lot of players I like, but whether I can bring them to the football club, that is a different matter. Jarvis is a very, very good player that we have liked for a long time."
Pulis also revealed that the prospect of signing former Manchester United striker Michael Owen is a possibility.
