Mark Hughes has revealed that Philipp Wollscheid could make his debut for Stoke City during their Premier League match against Arsenal this weekend.
The Potters signed the defender on loan from Bayer Leverkusen for the remainder of the season earlier this week.
The manager told the club's website: "Obviously we have just brought Philipp into the club, which we are delighted about, and he is in decent shape in fairness to him.
"He has had a winter break, as is the case in across Europe, but he has been training with a view that this move was always a possibility, so that has helped him I would suggest.
"The last game he played was actually against Bayern Munich, incredibly tough opposition, so he is in the right frame of mind for this game if he is selected."
Stoke beat Arsenal 3-2 when they met at the Britannia Stadium earlier in the season.
