Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has claimed that his side's 1-0 win over Norwich City is "vital" in their battle for Premier League survival.
Charlie Adam scored the only goal of the game at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday to move the Potters eight points clear of the drop zone with three games remaining.
"We deserved to win today, we created more opportunities," Pulis told BBC Sport.
"The three points are vital because we have tough games coming up. Our first challenge is always to stay in the Premier League, anything else is a bonus."
Stoke can secure their status in the top flight for another season when they return to action on May 6 at Sunderland.
