Stoke City have fallen to a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Porto in their final pre-season match.
The home side threatened in the opening stages when Cristian Tello turned his man, but he dragged his strike wide of the post from inside the penalty area.
Vincent Aboubakar came close to breaking the deadlock for Porto when he was allowed to run at goal and curl an effort towards the bottom corner, but his shot went narrowly wide of the post.
The Portuguese side took the lead in the 32nd minute through Aboubakar as he converted a low cross into the box from the right from close range, leaving Shay Given with no chance.
Alberto Bueno doubled his team's advantage as he pulled free of his marker to dispatch a header past Given after latching on to a cross from the right.
In the second half, Silvestre Varela almost added a third goal for the home side when he powered a strike at goal, but substitute keeper Jakob Haugaard made a solid stop.
Haugaard was again called into action when Porto won a free kick on the edge of the box and he made a good stop to deny Sergio Oliveira's curling effort.
Porto were handed the chance to notch a third goal when Marc Wilson was penalised for a handball in the box. Yacine Brahimi took the spot kick and buried the ball into the bottom corner.
Peter Odemwingie thought he had scored a consolation goal for the Potters when he diverted Charlie Adam's cross into the net, only to see his strike ruled out for offside.
Oliveira almost added a fourth goal for Porto when he found space on the edge of the box, but his low effort trickled wide of the post, although the home side still recorded a comfortable win.
