Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole has revealed that he and his teammates feel settled after their tumultuous start to the season.
The Black Cats were beaten by Leicester City and Norwich City in their first two matches of the campaign, conceding seven goals.
However, they managed to rally in their next two games against Swansea City and Aston Villa to take a draw from both clashes, which Cattermole believes has restored his side's confidence.
He told the club's official website: "We are all looking forward to the game especially after our last performance at the Stadium of Light against Swansea City.
"I think you saw the effort from the players and we worked really hard against a good team, so we need to take that effort and display it again against a quality Spurs side. The start of the season is always difficult because there is a lot going on in and around the training ground with new signings and new faces.
"There are a lot of rumours so it is nice for it to settle down and now the manager knows who he's got here we can look to improve and work our way up the table."
Sunderland take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
