Sunderland forward Duncan Watmore has revealed that he is determined to make an impact for his side against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21-year-old scored on his Premier League debut in the Black Cats' defeat to Norwich City and also added another strike against Exeter City in the Capital One Cup.
Watmore has also impressed for the England Under-21s in their matches against the USA and Norway, and is hopeful that he can force his way into Dick Advocaat's starting lineup against Spurs.
He told the club's official website: "It's a great opportunity for me to try and build on what I've done so far this season; all I can do is train hard and keep going to try and get in the squads.
"If I'm in them then I need to take my chance and go from there. We've trained really hard right up to the game and we'll go into it with a positive mindset. We know we can beat them if we approach the game correctly and that's what we'll try and do."
Sunderland face Spurs at the Stadium of Light later today.
