Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini has insisted that he would like to remain at the club.
The 29-year-old has made just one start for the Black Cats since January 1, which has raised questions over his future at the Stadium of Light.
Giaccherini, who moved to Sunderland from Juventus last summer, has said that he is keen to build on his first season in the Premier League.
"Now I can say for sure, this is a more difficult competition - there are players and teams of the absolute highest calibre," the Sunderland Echo quotes Giaccherini as saying.
"Manchester United are seventh here not just as a result of their own errors, but for the great competition there is. The Premier League is really exciting.
"My future? Yes I really want to play here again. I want to stay and do even better, with the experience accumulated."
Fiorentina and Genoa are reportedly interested in signing the Italy international.
