Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has agreed with manager Michael Laudrup by stating that the next week could be pivotal in determining the rest of the season.
The Welsh outfit are readying themselves for three home games in the space of eight days, starting with the visit of Sunderland on Saturday.
"This is probably one of the most important weeks of our season," the 26-year-old told the club's official website. "It will be a great start if we can win this game against Sunderland, coming back from an international break.
"I think it will be a difficult match for both sides, but it's a game that we should win, and as we are playing at home, I think the three points is mandatory.
"We've been playing good football this season - we just need to score goals. We are creating a lot of chances and just not scoring, but I think the home fans will help us do that this weekend."
The Swans take on Kuban Krasnodar in the Europa League on Thursday, before West Ham United make the trip to the Liberty Stadium the following Sunday.
