Swansea City striker Alvaro Vasquez has admitted that he will always be grateful for the opportunity that Mauricio Pochettino gave him during his spell at Espanyol.
Vasquez played under Pochettino before the Argentinian boss moved to Southampton, and the Spain Under-21 international has revealed that he was impressed with the playing style of his former manager
The 22-year-old told Wales Online: "I have really good memories of playing under Mauricio, and I'm really grateful that he gave me an opportunity at Espanyol.
"His team always like to pressure the opposition and in attack they like to pass. I really enjoyed working under him, he is a good manager.
"His team will play in a similar way to Swansea and Southampton will be a tough game."
Vasquez is currently on a season-long loan deal at Swansea.
