Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Swansea and Burnley at the Liberty Stadium, which will be the first-ever top-flight match between the two sides.

Swansea City host Burnley at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday in what will be the first ever top-flight meeting between the two sides.

None of their previous 42 matches has come at the highest level of English football.

The Clarets learned about Premier League life the hard way on Monday night when they lost 3-1 to title favourites Chelsea after taking an early lead.

Sean Dyche fielded nine players who helped the club achieve promotion from the Championship and his side went ahead through Scott Arfield, only for three Chelsea goals in 17 minutes to bring them back to reality.

Swansea started their season with a surprising away win over Manchester United, with midfielders Ki Sung-yeung and Gyfli Sigurdsson both scoring on their returns to the Welsh outfit.

Garry Monk has since added defender Federico Fernandez from Napoli, but the £8m Argentine is not expected to start in Wales after the collective performance of the Swans defence at Old Trafford.

They could go into this match unchanged, although winger Jefferson Montero is pushing for a full debut after impressing as a substitute against United. Leon Britton and Marvin Emnes remain sidelined.

Wilfried Bony will again lead the line, with 11 days left in the transfer window for Swansea to hang on to the Ivorian, who may yet be courted by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Dyche is unlikely to rush into major changes despite their opening-weekend defeat. Summer signing Lucas Jutkiewicz should again partner Danny Ings, with Sam Vokes still missing with a knee injury.

There could be a Burnley bow for Stephen Ward, who joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers last week. The versatile Irishman may be preferred to Ben Mee at left-back.

Monk played the last two times that these sides faced each other, when an own goal from Williams helped Burnley to a 2-1 Championship victory in Swansea's 2010-2011 promotion season.
