Swansea City have reportedly identified Blackburn Rovers' Rudy Gestede as their number one replacement for departed striker Wilfried Bony this summer.
Ivory Coast international Bony was sold to Manchester City in January, but Swansea didn't rush to sign a replacement in the mid-season window.
Bafetimbi Gomis has since become the Swans' first-choice frontman, but they are keen to bolster their attacking options and Gestede could be the man they pursue, according to The Telegraph.
Gestede, whose four goals in two recent games for Blackburn have taken his tally for the season to 20, was subject to plenty of Premier League interest in January from Hull City and Crystal Palace, but Blackburn managed to keep hold of their powerful forward.
However, with a mid-table finish the only possible option for Rovers this term, they may have to cash in on Gestede and hope that other star striker Jordan Rhodes remains at Ewood Park.
