The transfer window is in full swing as football clubs across Europe try to strengthen their squads in time for the new season.

There have been some big moves go through already and there is still plenty of time for more money to change hands.

Good morning folks! Another day of transfer activity awaits us as the new season draws ever closer. The big news from overnight concerns Angel di Maria, who has all but confirmed his switch to Paris Saint-Germain. The Manchester United midfielder has said that he is "very happy" to be linking up with the French club.
So, with Di Maria on his way out of Old Trafford, who will replace him? Barcelona winger Pedro has been touted as a possible signing, and Blaugrana boss Luis Enrique has suggested that the Spain international could join United this summer. Read more on that here.
Gonzalo Higuain has sparked speculation over his future after rejecting a new deal with Napoli yesterday. The Argentina striker has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League and, according to a report, Arsenal are set to sign him.

Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk has been linked with a move away from the Scottish Premiership champions this summer, with Southampton reportedly wanting to sign him. However, Van Dijk's manager Ronny Deila has insisted that the Saints have not made a bid for the Dutchman.
Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj recently said that he expects to play alongside Wayne Rooney as a striker at Old Trafford this season. However, that might have to wait as it seems Sunderland are interesting in signing the Belgian on a season-long loan.
DONE DEAL! Striker Emile Heskey made his return to English football last year when he signed a short-term deal with Bolton Wanderers, and he's done enough to earn himself a contract extension. The Trotters have confirmed that the 37-year-old has penned a new one-year deal with the club.
There has been plenty of talk about Jordan Rhodes swapping Blackburn Rovers for Middlesbrough ahead of the start of the new season. Well, Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer has admitted that a bid has been received by the Ewood Park side, but that it was rejected.
DONE DEAL! Former Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo has found a new club just a couple of weeks after having his contract terminated by the Saints. The Italian has joined Portuguese side Porto:

DONE DEALS! Bolton Wanderers have had a busy morning! As well as confirming that Emile Heskey has penned a contract extension, the Trotters have announced that Lawrie Wilson and Stephen Dobbie have both joined on free transfers.
Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur could look to sign another striker before the end of the transfer window.
