Watford have reportedly edged closer to a €10m (£8.8m) deal for Bologna left-back Adam Masina.
The 24-year-old, who made 35 Serie A appearances for the Rossoblu last term en route to a 15th-place finish, has just one year left on his contract at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
Watford are believed to be seeking reinforcements at left-back, with Jose Holebas now 33 years old and Marvin Zeegelaar struggling in his debut season at Vicarage Road.
According to Sport Italia, talks between the two clubs are progressing at a considerable speed, with a deal for the former Italy Under-21 star close to completion.
Italian side Lazio and Spanish outfit Sevilla have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Masina.
