Werder Bremen and Hannover are drawing in their Bundesliga match after an action-packed first half.
Hannover had a good chance to take the lead when a cross came in from the left, but nobody could reach it.
However, the away side did go 1-0 ahead when Clemens Fritz was penalised for a foul in the box and the referee gave a penalty. Szabolcs Huszti dusted himself down and slotted the spot kick into the bottom corner.
An eventful first half continued when Salif Sane was given a yellow card for bringing down Eljero Elia and Werder had a penalty of their own. Aaron Hunt placed the ball on the spot and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Leon Andreasen almost restored Hannover's lead, but his hooked volley went wide. Edgar Prib then followed that with a shot that went straight into the arms of Sebastian Mielitz.
Werder went ahead with a goal from Cedric Makiadi, but the lead lasted for only three minutes as Hiroki Sakai rifled in a shot from 30 yards.
