West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has issued a public apology after he conceded an injury-time penalty to hand Aston Villa a 2-1 win in their Premier League clash at Villa Park this evening.
The 31-year-old, who has eight caps for England, has already received the backing of Baggies boss Tony Pulis over the incident.
However, Foster took to Twitter to announce: "Sorry to let the lads and fans down tonight, I love you all."
The result moved Villa out of the relegation zone, and leaves the Baggies seven points clear of danger.
