West Bromwich Albion midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu believes that his side could have defeated Arsenal this afternoon had they not spurned a late chance to score on the counter-attack.
Mulumbu was one of Albion's standout players as they held the Gunners to a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns, with Claudio Yacob and Jack Wilshere scoring either side of half time.
"We knew we were playing a great team, but we did very well," Mulumbu told Sky Sports News. "I think we had a great chance to score, Nicolas missed a great chance. We are really happy with point today. But we are a good team and now we need to focus on the next game.
"We're strong defensively and were waiting for the counter, but I think we missed a late chance to score and that's why we drew today. We started poorly in the first two games but we work as a team and we're really strong now."
Steve Clarke's men find themselves in 12th position in the Premier League table, having already picked up a memorable victory against Manchester United this season.
