Tony Pulis dedicated West Bromwich Albion's 1-0 win over Stoke City this afternoon to the club's fans in light of their two recent Midlands derby defeats.
The Baggies lost to local rivals Aston Villa in both the Premier League and FA Cup last week, but responded to beat Pulis's former club at The Hawthorns.
Brown Ideye scored the only goal of the game on 19 minutes and Pulis's only frustration is that Albion could not get a second goal to cap off their "very good performance".
"It was a very good performance - the disappointing thing is that we didn't get a second goal," he told BBC Sport.
"The players have been through the mill the past couple of weeks with two bad results against Villa, albeit not bad performances. This was a big win for the supporters after having to take that on the chin."
The victory took West Brom to 13th in the Premier League table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
