West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has revealed that he expects some new arrivals at the club by the end of the day.
The Hammers, who are in eighth place in the Premier League table, are yet to add to their squad during the current transfer window.
However, following recent injuries to James Collins, Winston Reid and Andy Carroll, Allardyce has suggested that the East London outfit will boost their ranks before tonight's 11pm deadline.
"With the window coming to a close, I think we'll possibly be looking at bringing in someone on a short-term deal or a loan contract," he told the club's official website. "We'll see what's there and if it's something worth doing then we'll take a look."
West Ham have been linked with a move for Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis, but the Swans are understood to have rejected a £7m bid for the Frenchman.
