Wolfsburg have secured a solid 2-0 victory against Hamburger SV in this afternoon's Bundesliga clash at the Volkswagen Arena.
The game began in lively fashion, with both sides registering efforts on goal and the visitors seeing two players booked for rash challenges.
It didn't take long for the deadlock to be broken, with Kevin De Bruyne's corner in the 27th minute falling to Ivica Olic, who subsequently prodded home into the bottom corner.
Wolfsburg were dominant thereafter, with De Bruyne firing narrowly wide just after the half-hour mark, but Hamburg managed to go in at the break having shipped just the one goal.
The visitors stepped it up a gear after the restart, but their toothlessness in front of the hosts' goal cost them dear as Wolfsburg struck again just after the hour, courtesy of Aaron Hunt's goal following a fast break.
